Accessibility Testing
It’s increasingly a legal requirement and an important element of SEO rankings.
Standards
The main standards by which sites are ranked as accessible are the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) from the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative. The standards set in these guidelines vary, but WCAG 2.1, Level AA reflects the benchmark. Our Consultants are experts in quickly assessing websites for accessibility, using a range of varied yet complementary techniques to guarantee the standards are met.

Testing
Our test approach is a mixture of Manual and Automated Testing. Using a range of continually updated tools, we will work to make your website:
- Perceivable
- Operable
- Understandable
- Robust
- Our team of accessibility specialists leverage their experience to provide a detailed breakdown of a site’s accessibility level, whether it’s about to go live, or has just undergone a major overhaul.
- We also offer regular assessments as part of our testing process, helping us catch accessibility issues as your site grows and develops. These assessments are frequently automated to increase efficiency and reduce prices.
The first part of any test is to carry out an automated analysis of all the pages on the site and within scope, allowing us to identify the common elements of each page. These elements are not highlighted for every page, accelerating the testing process by targeting the different elements on each page.
For a smooth experience for disabled users, our team often carries out more hands-on tests. These might include testing keyboard-only access. It may be by using screen readers or trying out visual impairment simulator software to address issues from the perspective of a disabled user.
Reports
Once our tests are complete, you will be provided with a comprehensive report of the results, clearly indicating whether the site and its pages have achieved compliance with the level for which it got tested. All problems are broken down in great detail, evaluating their severity concerning the WCAG standards. Following this, we will work with your developers to fix all problems, before re-testing and approving your site.
